Use content to connect with customers

What happens after a client gets a reading or healing session? Does that person saunter off into the sunset leaving you to wonder if you’ll ever see them again? Take matters into your own hands and keep in touch with your clients through e-mail, Facebook and other social media tools. First of all, give clients a reason to want to keep in touch with you. Tell them you’ll send them information about specials and discounts in exchange for their email address. (Of course you want to practice good karma and keep your word and do just that.)

Then, make sure that the information you send them is something they would want to know about. For example, if you’re an intuitive, send your clients information about intuition development. If you’re a holistic Web site designer, send your clients info on how certain designs can resonate with the emotions of Web surfers.

Don’t just contact your clients and customers when you want them to buy something. Give them free information that they deem valuable. Not only does it help them to remember you, but it also leads them to build trust in you. In fact, for every one time that you contact your clients asking them to buy something, give them four free pieces of valuable information. 

Think carefully about the content you create via email, Twitter, Facebook or any other medium. Don’t just view it as a marketing message. (Look at Twitter on any given day to find millions of meaningless marketing pitches).  Consider the content you create to be an extension of your service. It allows you to spread messages of healing to more people and allows you to have more of an impact on the world.
