If you’re a psychic, it’s not too late to get a special Halloween promotion going, particularly if you have an email newsletter that lets you connect with your clients. (If you don’t have a mailing list, start collecting the email addresses of current and potential customers. Aweber is a great service that manages the process for you and they offer you a 30-day free trial.)
Once you have a way to reach out to your clients, consider these promotions that take advantage of the spirit of the day.
Offer special readings that take advantage of the thin veil. On Halloween, the veil is the thinnest between this world and other worlds. If you’re up for doing readings today, send a quick email letting potential clients know that they might get even more insight than usual because of the timing. You might encourage someone who was not considering getting a reading today to do so.
Offer a special Halloween discount. You don’t have to work today in order to get in on the action. You might prefer to take the day off and go Trick or Treating. However, that doesn’t mean you can’t offer a promotion. Send out an email letting potential clients know that you’re offering a 20 percent sale (or 30 percent or 10 percent or whatever discount you want to give) today only.
Let people know that they will have to schedule their readings for another date, but they must buy today in order to take advantage of the deal.
Use the opportunity to wish your clients a Happy Halloween. You don’t have to just use your mailing list to sell to clients. (In fact, it’s better that you don’t just send an email when you’re trying to sell something.) Use your email list to communicate with your clients and develop a stronger relationship with them.
Simply reaching out to wish people a Happy Halloween puts you at the top of their minds. Whether they buy a reading from you today or not, many of your clients will feel a closer connection to you because you remembered them on this fun day.
If you like to educate your clients, you might even share with them some information about Halloween and the fact that the veil is the thinnest on this date.
