Face it. Psychic scams exist, and psychic scammers arguably do more to hurt the psychic profession than anything else. There are people out there who are looking to prey on people and take advantage of their vulnerabilities for the sake of making money.
While psychic scammers only represent a small percentage of the people who offer psychic services, the entire industry suffers when they mislead people. We’ve all seen stories in the mainstream media about psychics who bilked someone out of thousands of dollars purporting to remove a curse or scaring their clients out of money. Unfortunately, people see reports such as that and they believe that all psychic readers are frauds.
So how can you do your part to stop psychic scammers? Education is key. Talk to your clients about what a psychic reading is supposed to be. Tell them how it is an empowering process designed to help them to make their own healthy choices in life. Let them know to look out for people who ask them to pay money out of fear. Let them know of the warning signs and encourage them to tell their loved ones what to expect from a psychic reading.
Also be willing to share what you do with people. We naturally talk about our services to those who are interested in psychic readings and metaphysics already. However, many of us are quiet around those who we don’t think follow a similar path. We may be afraid that they will look down on us or think poorly of us. Many of us have past life fears of being persecuted for our beliefs. Such past life memories are real!
But it’s important to break past those fears. Be willing to speak up about what you do and how the process works. The most people know about psychic services and how legitimate psychic readers operate, the more they’ll understand and respect the profession that can bring so much healing and comfort to so many. Not only will your own psychic business benefit, but the entire psychic services industry will benefit as well.
