If you haven’t considered starting a blog, you may be missing out on an incredible opportunity to promote your healing business. Whether you are a Reiki practitioner, an astrologer or another type of holistic healer, a blog can educate your clients about what you do, and it can help other potential clients to learn about you and your business.
Have you ever considered the way people find information on the Web? Often they wonder about something, then go to a search engine and type in a question. The search engine calls up Web sites that are likely to have the answer. Wouldn’t you like for your Web site to be one of the ones that people find in such a search? By writing about topics related to your business that people are interested in, you increase your chances of attracting people to your Web site — and your services.
Lightworkers as educators
One of the most important things that lightworkers can do is educate others. You have a unique way of looking at the world, and the world benefits when you share it. Here are some tips for creating a healing blog that serves others while growing your healing business at the same time.
–Don’t focus on selling. Sure your blog will likely attract potential new clients and help them to learn about you and your services, but you don’t want to make selling the focal point of your blog. Instead, focus on using your blog to offer a service. You’re teaching people about how they can live healthier and more empowered lives. Consider the blog an added service that you’re providing to the world.
–Know your audience. Think about your clients. Are most of them new to healing and metaphysics? Do you tend to attract more advanced clients? Make sure your newsletter speaks to your clients. If there are certain questions that clients typically ask you, that’s a good topic to write about. You might also do a survey in which you ask your clients what topics they’d be interested in learning about.
–Be interested in your content. If you’re not interested in what you’re writing about, why do you think others will be interested in reading it? If the blog is just something you’re doing for the sake of bringing in new customers, it might not be worth the effort. You should get some enjoyment out of it since blogging is something you’ll have to do regularly in order for it to be effective. If you hate it set the intention that you will attract ways to market your business that are more in alignment with you.
–Blog with some regularity. Noone says you have to blog every day or even every week for that matter. But make sure you blog with some regularity so that people who are interested in your content will have something new to read. If you go a month without blogging, you may want to ask yourself if this is something you need to keep doing.
–Use the blog for promotions. Once you’ve established your blog as a source of education, you can also let readers know how they can learn even more. This is where you talk about your products or services and how you can help people to take their healing to the next level.
