Feng Shui at work: Is your workspace a help or a hinderance

Lightworker entrepreneurs are conscious. We understand that our environments largely affect our moods and our success. So the question is,  are you applying that knowledge to your work space? If you are not, you are missing out on a key ingredient to your success.

Consider the following questions:

When you come to work each day, do you feel good? If your work space is full of clutter, it will create stress inside of your body when you look at it. Stress doesn’t make you feel good, and you’ll start to associate stress with work. If your work space is full of disorder, take a day to clean up and organize. You’re not wasting time; in fact, it’s probably one of the best things you can do to increase your productivity.

Do you want to be in your work space or would you rather be someplace else? Pay attention to your surroundings when you feel at your very best. For example, if you’d rather be outside or in nature, bring some of nature inside of your work space in the form of plants and flowers.

Do you have a dedicated space to work? Do you have an office or are you piling your work on the dining room table? Space may be a real concern for many — particularly those who are just starting their lightworker businesses. However, if you can create some sacred space — yes, your work is sacred — that is dedicated to moving your professional goals forward, you’ll be able to better focus on work when it’s time to work and play when it’s time to play.

How does your work space affect your clients? This is a big one. If you are a healer who works hands-on with clients, you want your environment to facilitate their healing. If clients don’t feel good when they spend time with you, they are not going to come back. The environment should be clean, uncluttered, relaxing and friendly. Use colors, decorations and furniture that creates a welcoming atmosphere so that your clients are energized when they visit with you.

If you know Feng Shui, apply those principles to your work space. Consider bartering services with a Feng Shui consultant that you know. Offer them healing services in exchange for some advice on how to make your office work for you. Not only can Feng Shui help you attract more money and abundance, but it can make you feel good, which is the best medicine of all.
